Our Team

Principal - Marina Bill
Marina trained as a dancer then completed a teaching degree. After having children she founded the dance school in 2001 to be able to deliver high quality dance teaching and to offer the opportunity to perform for all students regardless of age of ability. Since then the school has gone from strength to strength offering a wide range of classes for little ones from 18 months to adults.

Dance Teacher - Holly Spooner
Holly started dancing with Marina at the tender age of 3 and was a duckling in our very first show. Holly remained with NSD throughout her dancing journey and was a part of our performance group for many years as well as performing in pantomimes. Holly now teaches for us and continues to inspire our senior students with her choreography and loves teaching the adults too.

Dance Teacher - Hannah Grimes
Hannah trained in Norwich and performed in the first show Norwich School of Dance put on in 2003. Hannah completed her training at Performers College before working as a professional dancer. Hannah has now settled back in Norfolk and has returned to NSD. We are pleased to have Hannah on our teaching team.

Dance Teacher - Anna Gardiner
Anna began her dance journey at NSD at the age of just 3, making her first stage appearance as a little farmer. She continued to develop her skills at NSD while also training at Dance East on their Centre for Advanced Training programme. Additionally, she spent weekends in London training and performing with the West End Kids Performance Company. Today, Anna teaches a wide range of dance styles with us, bringing incredible energy, passion, and enthusiasm to every class.

Dance Teacher - Ameya Bill-Eteson
Ameya began dancing at NSD at just two years old, taking to the stage for the first time as a fairy in Christmas Wishes in 2006. She continued her training at NSD throughout her childhood, alongside additional studies with the Centre for Advanced Training programme at DanceEast, until the age of 18. After graduating with a First Class BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance from Trinity Laban, Ameya returned to NSD as a teacher. Now, Ameya brings her passion and experience into the studio, teaching students of all ages, and sharing her love of a wide range of dance styles.

Dance Teacher - Charlotte Gedge
Charlotte has been dancing since she was three years old, and started her training at the Norwich School of Dance at the age of six. She later trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where she developed her love of both performing and choreographing. Now a high school Performing Arts teacher, Charlotte is passionate about inspiring the next generation of performers. Tap is her favourite style of dance, but she especially loves choreographing contemporary and helping young performers grow in confidence and creativity.
At Norwich School of Dance we endeavour to make our classes accessible, focused and enjoyable. We believe learning is at its best when students are relaxed and love what they do.
Classes are available for all ages and abilities. We follow the ISTD syllabus for Ballet, Tap and Modern dance. In addition we run classes in choreography, contemporary dance, creative dance, and our acro classes follow the Acrobatic Arts syllabus..
Our school is in its 24th year. We have our premises on Hall Road where we have a large studio with a sprung floor and a second studio and a dance supplies store, selling the relevant uniform and accessories.
Please contact us for more details or to book your trial class.

Musical Theatre Teacher - Melanie Clark
Melanie graduated with a Musical Theatre Diploma from MEPA in 2012 and holds a BA Hons in Theatre from GSA (Guilford School of Acting).
Melanie is currently the choreographer for the UK and West End production of Peppa Pig Live. Between theatre tours Melanie teaches at NSD working closely to supportive development of children in theatre.

Our Dance Studios

At NSD we offer students assisting and teaching roles for those students who are dedicated and show an interest in supporting others and gaining teaching experience.
We also have opportunities for students to do their work experience with us, seeing what goes on behind the scenes at a dance school and organising resources for classes.
